SSC CGL Exam 2020: Application Fee

SSC CGL Selection Process 2020

In order to get the Final Selection, the interested candidate must need to Qualify 4 stages of examination. SSC CGL exam will be conducted in 4 stages, which candidates must clear in order to get into the next stage. The examination stages have been mentioned below:

  • Tier 1: Objective Computer-Based (online) Test (MCQs) it contains 100 questions.
  • Tier 2: Objective Computer-Based (online) Test (MCQs) with 2 compulsory papers and 2 other papers for specific posts
  • Tier 3: Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi (Pen and Paper mode)
  • Tier 4: Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test may vary depending upon the post applied.

SSC CGL Tier II exam 2020:

  • Total Time Duration is 120 Minutes or 2 hrs for each paper.
  • There will be negative marking. 0.50 Marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in every section.
  • In SSC CGLTier-II Exam, Paper-I and Paper-II are compulsory for all the posts.
  • In SSC CGLTier-II Exam, Paper-III will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of JSO (Junior Statistical Officer).
  • In SSC CGLTier-II Exam, Paper-IV will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-IV i.e. for the posts of AAO (Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer).

SSC CGL Tier III exam 2020:

SSC CGL Tier-III exam is a descriptive Paper with the purpose of testing the writing skills of the candidates in English/Hindi. It is a Descriptive Paper (Pen and Paper mode).

To prepare for this SSC CGL Tier III exam, qualified candidates need to read lots of articles from various newspapers and magazines. You also need to be updated with the latest pattern of letters and applications

  • For VH candidates the exam duration is 1 hour 20 minutes.

SSC CGL Tier IV exam 2020:

SSC CGL Tier IV Exam will have a couple of skill tests that are necessary for some posts. SSC CGL Tier IV Skill Test is a qualifying examination and its marks doesn’t affect your rank in SSC CGL Exam 2020.

1. DEST (Data Entry Speed Test): It is a qualifying candidate skill test to test the typing speed of the candidate for all the posts, other than Compiler.. The candidates should type accurately on a computer with a minimum of 2000 key depressions. The Time duration of this test is 15 minutes.

2. CPT (Computer Proficiency Test):  SSC CPT Exam will hold in three modules – Word Processing, Spread Sheet and Generation of Slides. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) is a test for the posts of Assistant Section Officer (ASO) in CSS, MEA & AFHQ, Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Assistant (GSI) in the Ministry of Mines, Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer) & Inspector (Examiner) in CBIC.

3. Document Verification: DV is the last step of SSC CGL Exam 2020. the final selection Procedure  would be document verification.
