RRB Station Master Exam Pattern 2026
The biggest change this year is that the Station Master exam will now be a single-stage Computer-Based Test (CBT) of 100 questions for 100 marks, to be completed in 120 minutes. The earlier two-CBT structure used under NTPC no longer applies to this post.
| Section | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Science and Mathematics | 30 | 30 |
| Data Analysis and Interpretation | 30 | 30 |
| Logical Capability and Reading Comprehension | 20 | 20 |
| Mental Reasoning | 20 | 20 |
| Total | 100 | 100 |
| Exam Mode | Computer-Based Test (Online) |
| Question Type | Multiple Choice Questions |
| Total Questions | 100 |
| Maximum Marks | 100 |
| Duration | 120 minutes |
Note that the General Awareness section, which was a major part of the earlier NTPC pattern, has been replaced by Basic Science and a standalone Data Analysis and Interpretation block in the revised pattern.

- Single-Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT)
