Eligibility & Educational Qualification (as on 07-10-2026)
- For DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, SSC and Ministry of Culture: 12th Standard pass in Science with Mathematics from a recognised Board.
- For LDC/JSA and other DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ posts: passed 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognised Board or University.
- Candidates awaiting their Class 12 result can also apply, but must possess the qualification on or before the cut-off date, 07-10-2026.
Application Fee
- Fee: ₹100 (Rupees one hundred only).
- Exempted: Women candidates, and candidates from SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen categories eligible for reservation.
- Fee can be paid via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Visa/MasterCard/Maestro/RuPay Debit cards, up to 08-10-2026.
- Fee once paid is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any other exam.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
- Selection is a two-tier process: Tier-I (Computer Based Examination) followed by Tier-II (Computer Based Examination).
- Tier-II consists of four sections and is conducted in two sessions (Session-I & Session-II) on the same day.
- It is mandatory to qualify all sections of Tier-II.
- The final Merit List / FRTA is based on aggregate marks in Tier-II Section-I & Section-II, subject to qualifying Section-III and Section-IV.
- In case of a tie, resolution is by marks in Tier-II Section-I, then Tier-I marks.
