Cut Off and Shortlisting Details

According to the published information, SSB will call candidates for the Skill Test (Typing Test) only up to 15 times the number of vacancies in each category, as per the instructions in the recruitment advertisement. The shortlisting is done category-wise. As an illustration of the arithmetic (not the actual vacancy numbers), if a category had 10 vacancies, up to 150 candidates in that category could be called for the Skill Test.

The marks released at this stage show each candidate’s score in the Computer Based Test held on 07 July 2026. The qualifying status on the marks page tells candidates whether they stand in the shortlist zone for the next stage. Candidates should confirm the category-wise shortlisting position only from the official SSB notices, since third-party lists circulating online may not be accurate.
